Practice Areas

Family Law

  • Custody - Protection of Children's rights and well-being

  • Child Support - Fair and appropriate balance of financial distribution that benefits the children

  • Prenuptial Agreements - Protecting individual assets accumulated prior to marriage

Divorce

  • Collaborative Law - A non-Court-based legal process enabling couples who have decided to separate or end their marriage to work with their lawyers and other family professionals. The couple commits to resolve family issues together rather than face an uncertain outcome by the Court. This voluntary process is initiated when the couple signs a contract binding each other to this process.

  • Litigation - Court based legal process where couples need the Court to assist them with the decision making outcome of their family issues. Both parties – and their respective attorneys – attempt to reach an agreement prior to going to Court; however, if an agreement cannot be reached outside of Court, the matter proceeds to a judge to determine the outcome.

Separation

  • A Separation Agreement is a contract between spouses defining the terms of living separate and apart prior to filling for a divorce. All issues including custody, child support, alimony and the division of marital assets would be included in the Agreement.
